HSLDA is an advocacy organization committed to making homeschooling possible. They defend homeschool freedom, provide legal protection to homeschool families, offer grants to homeschool families who are facing hard times, and provide educational resources and support for homeschoolers. ICHE serves to network different homeschool support groups from all over Illinois for the purpose of sharing information and encouraging one another. Today, the network has grown to over a hundred support groups and county contacts throughout the state. They also host an annual homeschool conference with speakers, curriculum, and other resources. This group is for parents of homeschoolers in DuPage County (or parents contemplating homeschooling) or nearby counties in the Chicagoland. Membership is free. They share co-ops info, classes, workshops, play dates, field trips, and more. You may post questions, encouragement, networking, ideas, events, curriculum for sale, etc... as long as it pertains to homeschooling or supplement classes and activities for PK-12th grades.
